Medium stoneware dish, 24 cm // 9.45" diameter. Quite rare in this dimension.
Height 4.5 cm // 1.77" It comes in blue tones from light to royal blue with a thick glaze. Produced by Palshus (Denmark) in the 1960s, founded by Per and his wife Annelise Linnemann-Schmidt. The couple created and produced chamotte (danish clay) objects, often with impressed decorations (tableware, vases, and lamps).
Colors were characteristic Scandinavian earthy tones: blues, browns, greens and beige.
Many other talented ceramic artists also worked for Palshus including Jens H. Quistgaard and Esben Klint.
