Niels Erling Heerfordt (1909-1984) was a Danish ceramist, known for his unique ceramic works, which he created in his own workshop. Heerfordt was active in the mid-20th century and is particularly known for his use of bowl shapes, vases and ashtrays, many of which date from the 1970s. His works often bear his signature "Heerfordt Denmark", which can be found engraved on the bottom of the pieces.
Heerfordt's style reflects the Danish tradition of ceramics, where functionality is combined with aesthetic value. Many of his works can be found today at vintage markets and auction houses, demonstrating the enduring interest in his artistic contributions. Several of his pieces remain sought after by collectors both in Denmark and abroad.
